Episode 1: I heard a recording of myself singing recently—an old one. A version of me from years ago. And what struck me wasn’t the sound, or the pitch, or how “good” it was.
What I heard was bravery.
A voice coming through in spite of.
I could feel how much she was pushing through, how much she didn’t yet trust she belonged, how much she was still healing as she sang.
And now, all these years later, I’m meeting my voice again—
not from a place of trying, but from presence.
Not trying to sound like anyone, or prove anything. Just letting myself be sung by something deeper.
I’ve never been more in my voice than I am now.
And I’ve never felt more tenderness for the one who sang before me.
She was never wrong. She was just becoming.
